Almost There!!!

It's the last class today. I've almost finished my ad! Yay! I'm just doing some final touch ups and then I'll be finished. I think it's turning out pretty well seeing as I have never made an ad/movie clip thing before! It's fun when you learn how to use all the tools. Andy taught me how to put text on my ad as well which was really helpful! Now my ad is not just a bunch of flashing pictures, it's a bunch of flashing words! Hehe! Woohoo!

Gutta Brella!

The Gutta Brella! Woo, the name of my new product! I have finally finished making and filmed it with the help of my sister. Last week there was a bit a of a fiasco with the music I wanted to use. For some reason it didn't want to work. But today I have finally got it working and it is done! Woohoo! Here's my script:

Sick of drinking tap water? Be sick no more!

Try the new and effective way of getting fresh water. The Gutta Brella!

It's easy! Just take out the new Gutta Brella when it's raining and you'll have fresh, clean, rain water.

When the bottles are full you disconnect them from the Gutter Brella and wallah!

Fresh rain water for your thirsty needs!

Bottles reusable, batteries not included.

Wee! I finally have music! Now all I need to do is make my movie clip!

New Project

So...I've kinda change my mind on what to do for the ad project. I'm producing an umbrella with a gutter! Woo! And attached to this gutter is a tube connected to a water bottle that will fill up as the water in the gutter drains out through the tube! A saving water mechanism. It took a while to figure out what kinda materials I neede to make the umbrella but I think I've got it!

Past the old and into the new!

We're going to be starting our new project today. A 30 second ad on a product... I've come up with a few ideas for the ad... not great, mind you, but then again they are just ideas. They might manifest into something greater! One idea that I have is to do a product that has to do with the back. I've had some really bad back problems lately so I thought I could advertise a product that would somehow fix the back... spray on back relief! Hehe.

I'm a bit excited about this new project as I've never made a movie before... It'll be fun! ^_^

We are also going to try and put my website up on the internet... hopefully it'll work. Cross fingers.

Work, Work, and More Work!

Hmm, it's been a while since I've posted on this thing. Well, I've decided to head in the body art direction instead of mainly focussing on tattoos. But I'll have those as well ^_~

I've come up with a couple of ideas for my pages. I've also taken pictures of body parts. (nothing gross!) My sister's were kind enough to help me out there. I also wanted to do a couple of pages where I could have this kind of setting where it looks like I make up my own designs...

Mind you, I've just finished my Website very recently. Took me 5 hours to do two pages! Man that was hard work. I think my last two pages turned out fairly well! ^_^

A couple of my ideas didn't get to work though. I wanted to have a couple of movies in it: a movie of my hand rotating, so you could see all the markings... things like that. They didn't end up working even though I did a few. I think it was stuffing up when I was trying to upload them...I porbably didn't save them properly. I'm happy with my website though :) even though I couldn't match everything up as well as I'd have liked...



Still happy though. ^_^

Moving along...

Well, it's the new week and my idea is starting to develop with the help of Andy and my friends. Bouncing ideas is a really good way to get the brain working. ^_^ I've decided to stick with the tattoo idea. What I'm going to do is take a lot of photos, most likely in a room with good lighting, of tattoos...hopefully my friends will be willing...and then use them to create rollovers and animated gifs. Almost like a collage...I'll figure how the layout is going to be later.

Which also means that I'll need to get new batteries for my camera. :S

Ideas...are not forthcoming

Project ideas...hmm...I still want to go with the whole drawing aspect of things but I'm not entirely sure as to which direction to take it. I had a talk with Andy about using the drawing idea...and this other idea popped into my head: tattoos. Ever since primary school I have always been drawing little designs on the back of my hands and my fingers, and I've found that tattoos have always fascinated me. Though I'm pretty sure that I will never get a real one as I don't want a permanent mark forever that won't fade like a scar does over time.

Tattoos...I've noticed that on some people that their tattoos sometimes act as a sort of illusion, like they move slightly if you stare at them too long. And also those who have these beautiful ones all over their arms makes you wonder if each tattoo has it's own story to tell.

Internet and Media

So what I'm doing now is a continuation of the Digital Art course, Internet and media. The first class was pretty good. Andy showed us a couple of websites that we could use to generate ideas for our own websites and he also showed us his own. It was really interesting to see what kind of medium Andy used and what skills he had picked up throughout his career. 

The first project that we have to do is to design a website about something or someone of interest to us, externally. Well, something that is of most interest to me is drawing; mainly cartoons/comics, manga and the like. Though I've noticed that many people that also like these things take one too many steps too far when creating something, especially with characters that already exist. It seems to be abusing artistic license. I wonder though, do the creators of those characters realise what their fans are doing to them?
